Fishing Licence for the Valencian fishing region for rivers can be obtained at the Conselleria Medio Ambiente, C/Churruca 44, 03003 Alicante. Some Caja Rural banks also can help you .

The price is € 8,45 (2010) valid for 1 year and € 25,50 valid for 3 years. The CAJA RURAL  charges  extra for transmission costs.

Pensionists can obtain a free fishing licence, valid for 3 years at the Consellería in  Alicante. You will need to provide a copy of your passport or NIE.

Fishing insurance is NOT an obligation in Valencia, YES in Andalucia, Cataluña and Murcia. It is not allowed to fish during the night.
