Fishing Licence for the Valencian fishing region can be obtained at the Conselleria Medio Ambiente, C/Churruca 44, 03003 Alicante  or most RURAL CAJA banks .

The price is € 8,40 (2009) valid for 1 year and €25,23 valid for 3 years. The RURAL CAJA charges  extra for transmission costs.

Pensionists can obtain a free fishing licence, valid for 3 years at the Consellería in  Alicante. You will need to provide a copy of your passport or NIE.

Fishing insurance is an obligation in Andalucia, Cataluña and Murcia; not in the rest of Spain.
